At a meeting of the Board of Údarás na Gaeltachta in Na Forbacha today (23 July), grants totalling approximately €900k and 70 new jobs were approved for Gaeltacht projects.

At the first meeting between the Board of Údarás na Gaeltachta and the Minister for Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, Pat Carey, T.D. in Na Forbacha today (23 July), the Údarás board members emphasised the importance of Údarás na Gaeltachta retaining its enterprise function when the organisation is restructured in the context of the 20 Year Strategy for the Irish Language.

At a meeting of the Board of Údarás na Gaeltachta last Friday, it was confirmed that a provision of €2,085,000 has been approved for Gaeltacht community organisations for 2010 to support them in the implementation of their work plans.
