*Islanders: An extra 10% is available to islanders who reside on a Gaeltacht Island and extra allowance will be provided towards travel and subsistence depending on individual applicants circumstances.
- If you achieve fluency in Irish during your course, you will be eligible for the higher rate of support retrospectively
- €6,500 is the maximum level of support for a vocational course
- For educational courses the maximum yearly payment is €3,500. The maximum payment over time is €9,000 per person
- Once you have paid your course fees you can claim half the assistance approved towards those fees. The balance of Údaras’ support is payable when you have satisfactorily completed the course
- There is a limited annual budget for this scheme and it may not be possible to support all the eligible applications received in a particular year.
