Assistance for courses for groups
Local and community groups, based in the Gaeltacht, may be eligible for help from Údarás na Gaeltachta for a variety of vocational training or further education courses.

Criteria 
  • Does your course have formal recognition?
  • Is your course receiving other State support?
  • Is your course available to any suitably qualified applicant from the Gaeltacht?
If you have answered yes to the above three questions your group may be eligible for financial support from Údarás na Gaeltachta.

Expenses covered
The expenses which can be supported by Údarás na Gaeltachta include:
  • Trainers fees
  • Rent of premises
  • Examination costs.
Assistance levels
The level of assistance that the group may be eligible for will depend on
  • The type of course in question 
  • The language of instruction.

  • Applications must be received before the course begins
  • The level of assistance will be agreed in writing beforehand and will be paid when members of the group complete the course satisfactorily
  • There is an annual limit on the amount of finance available and it may not be possible to support all the applications received.
