Bioniche Teoranta is a subsidiary of the Bioniche Pharma Group, a specialty pharmaceutical company involved in the development, manufacturing and marketing of sterile injectible products and other pharmaceuticals. It holds the rights to Suplasyn®, a European market leader in reducing joint pain and increasing mobility. Bioniche Teoranta has been established since 1988 in the Údarás Industrial Estate at Coill Rua, Indreabhán, Co Galway.
At the start-up phase Bioniche Teoranta leased a building from Údarás, which it has since bought. Údarás is a share-holder in the company and has also given support on a project-to-project basis, most recently in 2004 when it helped with the construction of a new manufacturing facility.
