County Mayo
County Mayo is located on the west coast of Ireland in the province of Connacht. The County has 3 large towns and is well serviced by a good and improving road network, rail and bus service and Knock International Airport.
 
Agriculture is still the principal source of employment in County Mayo. Manufacturing and engineering are the two main industries from precision tool and farm equipment production to pharmaceuticals with multinational companies. Tourism represents the major service industry in the county.
 
Mayo Gaeltacht
The Mayo Gaeltacht is located mainly in the western half of the county and comprises three separate areas of Tourmakeady, parts of Achill Island and the Erris Peninsula.
