In the budget which was announced on 9 December, the following funding has been approved for Údarás na Gaeltachta for 2010:

·        Community & Language Activities                                  €3.92m            (€4.185m)

 

 

The reduction in funding, in particular the significant reduction in capital funding, will seriously restrict An tÚdarás in the advancement of any new projects in 2010. On the other hand, we are confident that the funding approved for Community and Language activities will enable us to continue our support for the Language Services Centres, community groups/co-operatives, community development programmes, Comhar Naíonraí na Gaeltachta and Óige na Gaeltachta.
