An Taoiseach Enda Kenny, TD, officially opened Ionad Chultúrtha an Phiarsaigh in Ros Muc on the 10 November 2016.
Ionad Cultúrtha an Phiarsaigh is one of the eight Permanent Reminders, a series of major capital projects developed as part of the Ireland 2016 Centenary Programme. Údarás are delighted to have played a significant part in this historic commemoration. This Centre will be a valuable gem in attracting more visitors to the region. It creates a new standard of interpretation that will set a benchmark for the appreciation and understanding of our Irish culture, our history and our language. The Centre and its facilities will enhance the existing visitor experience at Pearse’s Cottage , a national monument, and will be an attractive destination for visitors for many years to come.
